Welcome to
Heaven or Hell which is what my books
represent.
The first one, "Beyond My Wildest Dreams:A Medjugorje Odyssey", is a
true life adventure story
of four pilgrims in Bosnia during it's war with Serbia.
The numerous trips span the
last six years of the war. Our reasons for going,
what we experienced, what we accomplished, and that we had been
acknowledged by the Vatican, made us feel that we had been called by
God to do Heaven's work. By the end of the war we had procured and
delivered over sixty million dollars worth of medical supplies and food
to hospitals, orphanages and front line aide stations.
My second book, "The Plantation: A Twisted Tale from a Demented Mind",
may seem out of character
with the first, yet for me it isn't. During the apparitions of Our Lady
in Medjugorje she asked that we stop sinning and turn back to God.
In todays world it seems that SIN
has been forgotten and even impossible to commit, yet the Bible names
grievous sins that unrepented will keep us from God, and SINS OF THE
FLESH are included. Their powerful urges seem
almost uncontrollable and today many of these sins are taught as
something good that should be tried outside of marriage, even by our
children in grade school.
The Plantation's four main characters represent the way I believe many
of us respond to these "Temptations
" and I think a number of readers will see themselves.
Hopefully, it will make us tend more carefully to our spiritual welfare.

My name is Frank J. Stoppa. I was born in Williamsport, Pa. and attended Lycoming College before entering the Marine Corps to serve as a company sniper in Vietnam. During my short tour, due to wounds suffered, I received two Purple Hearts and was recommended for the Silver Star. Helen, my wife of 40 years, and I raised four children before moving to Jacksonville, Florida where we now reside.
In 1992 having felt called to Medjugorje in Bosnia-Herzegovina, because of the reported apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, I accompanied the Pilgrims Peace Center of Clearwater Fl. on a humanitarian pilgrimage during the war. To enable my wife to share in my experience I wrote a combination letter/journal. What I did not realize was that it would be the first of many and what transpires should convince even the most hardened of skeptics that God does hear and answer prayers.
On that trip I met Dr. Christopher and Judy Chapman from Bethlehem, Pa. and Gilbert Norstrom from Twin Lakes, Wisc. All four of us are bonded in a unique way by the Blessed Virgin. The result of this tie, and what we consider one of the fruits of Medjugorje, was a humanitarian organization, the Catholic Medical Foundation, that delivered more than sixty million dollars worth of medical supplies and food to central Bosnia during the war and was recognized by the Vatican for its works. In February 2003, I was also recognized by Catholic Charities and awarded the St. Augustine diocesan Good Samaritan of the year award.

My second book "The Plantation; A Twisted Tale from a Demented Mind is a short novel about the age-old battle between good and evil and takes the reader into a world of hedonistic pleasures where the line between right and wrong becomes blurred by love, passion, lust and greed. The protagonist, Samuel faces the battle of his life: to reclaim not only his soul, but the soul of the love of his life, Juliet. Samuel and Juliet take a journey into a world of voodoo rituals and unimaginable depravity that will cause them to question their faith, their beliefs and ultimately, their place in eternity.
As you begin reading you may hesitate due to its sexual content. However, rest assured, the book is neither sexually explicit nor pornographic. It is meant to stir the imagination and to make us look at ourselves and the way we respond to temptation.
